Pier 1 Makeover House picture frame

I love Pier 1 store... Love it.. Once in awhile I come across a piece there and I just have to THINK, how can I use this... because I just love Pier 1.  So here is my recent find for May 2013! So these are still in stores and easy to get...

See what I mean.. I just walked by this and thought Dang... I really want this in my house but what ESLE can I use it for....... two weeks later and a midnight wake up to jot the dream IDEA down.. and here you go...

A farewell gift for my military friends!  However.. this would be an AWESOME Wedding gift for the newly married couple.  My friend that I gave this too comment "Oh, I can't wait I want to do me and my husband in the top picture looking down, then the kids in the bottom photo looking up at us!"  I would have never thought of that.. and it's so prefect to add to the Brady bunch look! (you know that old show in the 70's the Brady Bunch)

How did this makeover happen..... by using the Cricut Machine, Font, and black vinyl.  I got my Cricut gypsy out resized, moved, grouped, and then cut out the last names making sure they fit PERFECTLY, then cut them out, used transfer tape, and put them onto the picture frame rubbing hard.  Did the same for the est and year!

Hope you like, I have another great Pier 1 masterpiece I will share later. These would be an great Christmas gift or anniversary gift too.  Often if you can THINK of a way to personalize something it makes a unforgettable gift.

INGREDIENTS to MAKE:

• Pier 1 Ivory House Wall Frame item: 2674486 REG. price $29.99 on sale for $23.99
• Cricut Machine (can use 6x12 inch cutter for this)
• Cricut Font (several to choose from I used songbird)
• Cricut Gypsy <-- if you want to weld your font together to make it ONE you will need this, but you do NOT have to use it to make this project.
• Cricut vinyl black
• Cricut transfer for the vinyl same section although I did see an article how you can use blue painters tape and save some $$ but haven't tried it yet.
• AboveRubiesStudio Painters tape transfer video  <-- love the video she did on this!
